CATHODIC PROTECTION

EPDI is a leading provider of anodes for heater treaters, tanks, and pipelines. We manufacture and distribute a broad line of aluminum, magnesium, and zinc anodes for the oil and gas industry.

Red and Blue Head Heater Treater Anodes

EPDI’s Red and Blue anode heads are engineered and constructed with an emphasis on safety and precision.  EPDI anode heads have a heat rating of 350 F and a compressive strength of 11,000 psi, which together delivers peace of mind and compliance for the toughest of environments.

The most popular are the 3 x 30 and 3 x 60 cylindrical shaped anodes that are mounted in a red or blue anode head.  These types of anodes can be easily installed in a standard 4 inch Schedule 40 or schedule 80 pipe nipple with a coupling.

Our  Blue Head is designed and constructed for easy installation. We have an external 5-rib design for better alignment and anode stability. Designed for extended life for the toughest environments.

Our Red Head is designed and constructed for easy installation. We have an external 4-rib design for better alignment and anode stability. Designed for extended life for the toughest environments.

Bowling Balls

10″ Aluminum (bowling ball) anodes supplied with a 1″ schedule 80 pipe core with a 1″ NPT weighing 47 pounds.

The exposed pipe core measures 4″.

Magnesium Bags

Magnesium anodes are available in sizes ranging from one pound bags up to

forty-eight pound bags. They come packed in a cotton bag in a low resistivity quick wetting powder consisting of hydrated gypsum, bentonite and sodium sulphate.

The product is kept in a plastic bag to ensure the powder blend stays dry until installation. “The plastic bag should be removed during installation.”

We include our standard connection wire which is a solid #12 AWG Copper Lead Wire THWN/THNN.
